Monitors - We are glad you are here.  Thanks for helping us build accurate, usable data for our sponsors.  We hope you view us as teammates in each project.  To make everyone's job easier please note the following:

 - Monitoring hours are from 8:30 to 4:30 on weekdays. 

-  We try to have just one monitor present in the clinic each day.  Occasionally we do have overlap when database locks are looming etc.

-  We have a dedicated monitoring room with:

- Plenty of desk space

- Library carts to easily move and sort source binders

- Extra shelving to hold completed/reviewed binders and source documents

- Windows so you don't feel like you are locked in a prison cell

- A personal heater (we have to keep the clinic cool to maintain correct temperature storage of investigational products)

- A charging station for phones, tablets etc

- A printer/copier exclusively for your use

- And, of course, pens, post-it notes and office supplies that you may need

Please make arrangements in advance with the coordinator assigned to your study for any meetings, corrections, trainings etc that you are anticipating

Places to stay:

Many of our monitors prefer to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad. It's fairly close, not very expensive, near the beach for a good view and reliable. It's only about a 10-12 minute drive from the office and you can take Highway 101 instead of the usual 5 Freeway for a view of the ocean on your way there or back.  Click here for their reservation website.

Along the same lines, the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar is also reasonable.  Not as good a view as the one in Carlsbad but it is located in Del Mar - lots of restaurants and sites to see.  Also less than 10 minutes to the office and I can't recommend the drive on the 101 strongly enough.    Here is their reservation website.

If money is no object or you have travel points to burn (it's a Hyatt property), the Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas is over the top.  Very new, gorgeous resort on the beach with one of the hottest new restaurants in the area.  And it's closer than the others.  Book a room with them here.
